Alun Meyerhans
Alun Meyerhans completed his Bachelor's degree in Cast Audiovisual Media at Zurich University of the Arts in 2016. Already during his time at the Schauspielhaus (2013–2017), he worked on projections for the stage and designed trailers for various productions. In his filmmaking, he experiments with different formats – from mockumentaries to classic documentaries to essayistic works. He is particularly drawn to the documentary form as a way of showing people and their stories from unfamiliar angles, thereby revealing underlying social dynamics.
His film ROGER FEDERER: THE REUNION is available on Netflix, and his most recent work, AIMING HIGH, premiered at the Zurich Film Festival in 2024. He consistently impresses with his fine sense of tone and pacing, lending his work a distinctive signature.
Since 2022, he has been teaching Directing, Dramaturgy, and Editing in the Cast Audiovisual Media program at ZHdK.
